To maintain suction, keep an eye on the bin and empty it as soon as debris reaches the MAX marker. Depending on the size of your clean, it may not need to be emptied after every vacuum.
Dyson vacuums are designed to clean all floor types, including carpet. Most models come with two cleaners heads, but every model has either a Motorbar™ cleaner head or a Digital Motorbar™ cleaner head that is suitable for carpeted floors.
