Deep cleaning and maintenance

Washing the water tanks

Regularly rinse both dirty and clean water tanks, and dry with a cloth. The smooth inner surfaces make cleaning easy and reduce dirt build-up.

Cleaning the Debris tray

Stones or other small debris may become trapped. If this occurs, remove by following these simple steps.

And to remove any limescale, we recommend cleaning the filter mesh every six months.

  • A user's hand lifting the red inner section away from the outer shell of the Debris tray

    1. Remove the red inner section

Check for trapped debris in the small crevices on each side of the red surface, and remove.

    2. Rinse under a tap

After removing trapped debris, rinse both inner and outer parts of the Debris tray under a tap.

  • The outer shell of the Debris tray being left to dry

    3. Dry thoroughly

Wipe both parts with a cloth to remove any remaining debris and excess water. Dry thoroughly before reassembling into the cleaner head.

Washing the microfibre rollers

After every few uses, check the rollers. If there's any debris, it's time to wash your rollers manually:

Remove debris, wash rollers with warm water and detergent. Rinse and squeeze to remove excess water, and leave to dry thoroughly before use.

Vacuum motors may also expel air back into the room which could cause odours. When using floor cleaning solutions, do use gentle, low-foaming common household detergents and do not use bleach. Be sure to follow the solution’s specific direction for dilution - with a 1L clean water tank you shouldn't require any more than 1Tbsp of solution. We also recommend adding the solution after filling the clean water tank.
